Contract Automotive Management Services (CAMS) was founded to give automotive workshops access to practical, on-the-ground support from someone who’s lived and breathed the industry.
Led by Peter Hard, an automotive professional with 50 years of hands-on industry experience. From tools to training rooms, he’s done it all.
Peter’s journey started the old-school way - knocking on workshop doors in Fremantle back in 1976, where he landed a job at Shack Motors (GMH Agent) as a Trades Assistant. On his first day, he noticed the workshop bins were filthy and mismatched, so he cleaned and repainted them Rocket Red - the same colour as Holden’s iconic engine blocks. The next morning, he was offered an apprenticeship.
That small act of initiative sparked a 50-year career through the automotive industry - from apprentice to service manager, GMH district manager, TAFE lecturer, and now trusted consultant.
